From my experience even with the best intentions, the act of Letting Go and going with the Flow is an ongoing journey.
A discovering,
An uncovering,
A moment of “A ha!”
Long enough to release the tightness in the hip and just in time to notice there was also something else a little deeper to unravel.
Often times there is a perception attached to the position/the pose (asana) we are in.
It may be a new position, a place we have been in before or quite possibly a place we have been in many times.
And like a cloud, our perception of the position covers the vision of what could be possible.
Resistance has a funny way of tricking us that we are good exactly where we are. A pattern or system that at first feels good, over time becomes a security blanket.
A way of being.
These can be well intended and truly good, a great place to start.
However, as the saying goes…
“If we always do what we have always done,
we will always get what we have always got.”
If we always push ourself, we lack the time to recover.
And if we avoid at all costs getting outside of our comfort zone,
we miss the opportunity to grow.
And so where do we begin?
The moment we are in.
Every moment is a magical opportunity.
Like a fork in the road, we get to choose which way to go.
Waking up to our unconscious patterns allows the realization that we also can choose to turn around no matter how far down the path we go.
A discovering,
An uncovering,
A moment of “A ha!”
The road less traveled might not be about a greater view.
Maybe it simply offers us a greater journey as this adventure of life unfolds.
